Saira Afzal Tarar is a Pakistani politician who has been a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan since 2008. Born on June 7, 1966, in Hafizabad city, District Hafizabad, Saira Afzal Tarar is the daughter of Mian Afzal Hussain Tarar and the daughter-in-law of Muhammad Rafiq Tarar, the former President of Pakistan. She is married to Mr. Muhammad Irfan Tarar, a retired Director General of the Intellectual Property Organisation of Pakistan. They have three children.

Education

Saira Afzal Tarar holds an MSc in Home Economics (Housing and Interior Designing) from the College of Home Economics Lahore, completed in 1991. She completed her matriculation from Queen Mary School in 1983 and later earned a diploma in Islamic Studies from Al Huda International in 2003.

Professional Career

Before entering politics, Saira Afzal Tarar worked as a teacher at Pakistan Islamia Secondary School in Sharjah, UAE, from 1998 to 1999. She then transitioned into politics and became a member of the National Assembly of Pakistan.
